Goal:
The goal here is to be able to glide on our snowboard with both feet on the board at the same time. We must learn this in order to get on and off the chair lift. (Only one foot is clicked in, the other is placed onto the stomp pad)

Why?

Glide until the snowboard comes to a natural stop.

How:
STEP 1 :Once you are comfortable with slow skating on both edges, try to extend the push so the board glides faster and then place the rear foot on the stomp pad or next to the back binding.

STEP 2 :Glide until the snowboard comes to a natural stop.
If no flat run-out is available, dragging the toe over the toe-side edge can be used for slowing down. (You can also drag your back foot heel in the snow to stop you as well.)

Make sure you keep a solid basic stance.

Where:
Ski school beginner area, Flat land

Exercise:
Practice this until you can skate and glide competently off both edges, you should be able to skate and glide and be completely balanced on your snowboard.
