Goal:
To move our snowboard in any direction with one foot strapped into the snowboard.
Why?
To move our snowboard in any direction with one foot strapped into the snowboard.
How:
Step 1: Place the rear foot on the heel-side of the snowboard on the snow, no further forward than the front binding.
Step 2 : A small Push with the rear foot is required to move forward. Do not let this foot slide past the rear binding.
Step 3 : Keep your balance centered and Take small slow steps forward, keeping the nose of the snowboard pointing in the direction of travel.
Repeat this action with your rear foot on the toe-side.
Where:
Ski school beginners area, flat land area.
Exercise:
Skate on Both edges until you feel confident you can move around the mountain easily.
