Goal:
Get on and disembark the chair lift safely

How: IMAGE STANDING READY TO SIT
Load:

We ride the chair lift with one foot out, to get on and off we use some skills we have been practicing with one foot not strapped in.

Step 1 :First, you skate and glide up to the chair lift itself. wait until the Lift Operator calls you out, then skate out to the marked line in the loading bay.

Step 2 :Turn around and wait for the chair to come and pick you up.

Step 3 :Sit down, pull the safety rail down and enjoy the ride.

Unload:IMAGE STANDING WITH BOARD POSITION
To unload from the chair lift, lift the safety rail up and face your board in the same direction as you're travelling, slowly lean forward a little so you will be ready once the chair enters the Top station.

When your snowboard makes contact with the unload ramp, slowly stand up in your basic stance with one foot on the stomp pad and the other strapped in. ( try not to skate off the unload ramp)

Point and look straight ahead until you find an area where you can perform a J turn with out running into anyone. (The top landings are flat and have plenty of room)
