Goal:
To make hop edge changes and stay balanced
How:
Now we need to start building up the skill set of hop 180’s using natural terrain.
To do this you will be using the jump technique off both feet….DO NOT OLLIE!
Start by finding a bank or suitable terrain where you can practice this exercise. (or the Halfpipe if you feel comfortable)
As you’re riding into the bank/wall slowly start flattening out onto your base of the board and as you reach the top point where you have lost most (if not all) of your momentum, jump off both feet and at the same time rotate your upper body back down the hill onto the new edge.
As you rotate your upper body, think of push/pulling with your arms. This should help bring your lower body around smooth and easy.
