Lesson 3

Snowboard line:

Goal:
To pick a smooth line of decent to make snowboarding as much fun and effortless as possible.

How:

Well I guess this comes down to the individual, at this stage of your riding it’s time to start expressing yourself….Start hitting different things, you know you want too!

I will give you a couple of guide lines I use when looking down black runs pondering on what line I should take.

First off all I access how steep it is, next would be, where the majority of people are riding (get as far away from them as possible) next would be moguls? Stay away from them if you’re not confident while riding them.

Snow conditions, is there any ice I should be aware of?

Where is my exit point?

Give your self plenty of room when riding steeps for the first time, you have to remember, other riders will not be as skilled as you.

In general, it pays to be relaxed and take it slow until you’re confident in making those short turns fast and smooth.

Always stay in control on black runs, I have seen a lot of people get a nasty snowboard in the back of the spine…..Don’t be that guy!
