Lesson 1

Flexion when riding the halfpipe

Goal:
To use flexion to help us create pressure through our snowboard and hold an edge through the bottom of the pipe.

How:
Flex down into your snowboard using your lower body parts:
- Feet
- Knees
-Hip
By doing this we are applying pressure to the edge of our snowboard. Make sure your COM (centre of mass) stays over the snowboard without breaking at the waist.

We use flexion in the bottom of the pipe to create an edge and hold our line into the next transition of the pipe wall.
