Flexion on a snowboard:
Lesson 1
Goal:
One way we control Edge pressure on our snowboard is through Vertical movements.
Flexion
This refers to the bending one or more of the joints (legs, ankles, knees and hip)
How:
STEP 1 :
This is where we bend (Flex) down through the Ankles, knees and hip to apply pressure to the board’s edge, by applying pressure to the snowboard edge, we are able to control (Pressure) radius and steering of the turn, it also helps with speed control and power.

STEP 2 :
By flexing down into your snowboard you are essentially applying pressure onto your snowboard.

Movements here consist of progressive edging, pressuring and steering to resist the increasing forces acting on you.
Where: Everywhere you ride.
