Linked Edge Turns:
Goal:
To make Linked edged turns with rhythm and speed control.
How:
Once you’re confident with edged C-turns, practise linking them together. Carry momentum at the completion of one turn and move smoothly into the next.
Remember to use good flexion and extension, keep COM over the snowboard and look to where you want to go.
As confidence is gained, start practising slight variations in size, shape, speed and pitch.
Where:
The same terrain that was used for edged C-turns should be suitable. Advance onto slightly steeper groomed trails when you are ready and comfortable riding with more speed. Remember that snow quality will also play a large part in the success of edging.
