Lesson 16

Gap to Boardslide

Goal:
To look like the man in front of your friends

How:

NOTE: Before you try and Gap onto a Rail or Box, ALWAYS do a Test run with you speed. Practice riding into the rail with extra speed but don’t actually hit the rail, ride off the take off and judge whether or not you have enough speed to make the down section!

(Once you are confident you have enough speed, only then should you proceed!)

As you come off the take off with even weight, suck your legs up and start rotating your upper body to bring your lower body around. (In other words, open up so your chest faces down the rail)

When you come onto the down section, remember to have soft bent knees. Focus on pointing your toes down the rail so you land with a flat base. When learning the trick, keep your arms out to help with balance. As you come off the rail, rotate your lower body around so you land back in the 50/50 position.
