Lesson 15

50/50 to Gap

Goal:
To gap onto a rail/box

How:

NOTE: Before you try and Gap onto a Rail or Box, ALWAYS do a Test run with you speed. Practice riding into the rail with extra speed but don't actually hit the rail, ride off the take off and judge whether or not you have enough speed to make the down section!

(Once you are confident you have enough speed, only then should you proceed!)

Start by carrying the correct amount of speed needed to complete the trick safely, Remember to keep your basic stance aligned with your snowboard and stay relaxed in the knees.

When you leave the take off, suck your legs up and prepare yourself to land on the down section of the rail. Absorb the impact (Flat board) and maintain your basic stance, ride off the end with soft knees and mad style!

Where:
Flat down, Down flat down rails and boxes
